No words, no words...


You'll have to hurry. The tomato tasting menu at Viognier in San Mateo is soon to be replaced by a truffle focused tasting menu. Yes, I know, everyone does tomato dishes at the end of the summer, but this foie gras Reuben sandwich is something altogether different. I had heard the raves about it, but I simply could not believe that it could be good.

I mean, foie gras and sauerkraut? Hrmm.

Too, I generally don't eat ducks. I'm not one of those people who loves everything laced with duck liver. I'm actually really horrified by the duck ravenous fiend this dish inspired in me.

I very plainly have no words. Just my heartiest endorsement, a picture of it and a cute scotch glass with logo to help you remember where to go. Cheers!
