Lobster Legs and Red Monkey Wine

Lobster legs are like the pixie sticks of the sea, just full of seafoody goodness. You can keep the tails and the claws, but I wish I could just buy a little box of legs, like they sell pocky in.

Also, if I haven't lost your faith with my love of spindly lobster legs, eat at Bistro Elan in Palo Alto. Have the fish-and if it is served on a bed of brussels sprouts and bacon, then you really need to have the following Syrah, (yep, red wine,) with it: Bonaccorsi Syrah, Red Monkey from the Central Coast. Sadly, Mr. Bonaccorsi passed away last year. Our Syrah was a 2001 so my gentleman companion and I toasted to him and mused that he might have presided over the very bottle we enjoyed. Besides being a revelation paired with sea bass and brussels sprouts, the wine is a proud legacy of Mr. Bonaccorsi's esteemed career.
You can find out more about him and his wines here:

Love,

i think the pairing makes a lotta sense...it's seafood but it's a very rich and flavorful seafood...so red wine makes sense
